The official trailer of Enna Vilai, the pan-Indian Tamil film starring Nimisha Sajayan and Karunas in the lead roles, has been released. Acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Vetrimaaran unveiled the trailer of the film, which is written and directed by National Award-winning writer Sajeev Pazhoor.
Enna Vilai is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 17, 2026. Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films will bring the movie to theatres in Kerala. Jithesh V and Anugopal Venugopalan produce the film under the banners of Kalamaya Cineverse and Romeo Pictures.

Filmmaker Vetrimaaran released the official trailer of Enna Vilai ahead of its September theatrical arrival.
Set against the backdrop of Rameswaram, the trailer introduces a story that begins with family relationships and crucial developments in the personal lives of its characters before moving into wider social and political circumstances.
Emotional sequences are combined with moments of conflict and thriller elements, with the characters portrayed by Nimisha Sajayan and Karunas at the centre of the narrative.
Sajeev Pazhoor Writes and Directs Enna Vilai
Enna Vilai is written and directed by Sajeev Pazhoor, who won the National Film Award and Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay for Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum.
For Enna Vilai, Sajeev Pazhoor combines a family-oriented narrative with socio-political themes and thriller elements.
The film had earlier received the Best Screenplay award at the 16th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival.

Enna Vilai Filmed Across 56 Locations
The production was filmed across 56 locations in Rameswaram, Chennai, Pondicherry and Kochi. Shooting was completed across three schedules.
Another highlight of the project is the involvement of several Malayalam technicians in the Tamil production. The movie will reach audiences in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
The previously released song ‘Kadalaadum Seemayile’ had also introduced audiences to the film’s musical side. The audio rights have been acquired by G. V. Prakash Kumar’s music label.
