Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films’ seventh film, “Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra“, is being distributed outside Kerala by major distribution companies. The film, which will hit theaters on August 28 as an Onam release, is being distributed in Tamil Nadu by AGS Cinemas. The film is being distributed in Karnataka by Kannada star Raj B Shetty’s Lighter Buddha banner. While Sithara Entertainments, a major Telugu film production and distribution company, is distributing the film in Andhra/Telangana states, “Lokah” is being distributed in North India by the Pen Marudhar team.
The film, which is aiming for a grand release in the Rust of India market, will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages. “Lokah” is being brought to the audience by the best distributors in each market. The film, which is aiming for a grand Rust of India release, will also be screened on Epic screens in South India. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nazlan play the lead roles in the film. Made on a huge budget, ‘Lokah’ is written and directed by Dominic Arun. “Chandra” is the first film in a superhero cinematic universe called “Lokah”.
The promo song of the film, which was released the other day, was also very popular. The song released under the name ‘Thani Loka Murakari’ was composed by Jakes Bejoy. The first look poster and teaser of ‘Lokah’, which were released earlier, received a good response from the audience. The teaser, which came with stunning visuals and thrilling music, became a big topic of discussion on social media. Kalyani Priyadarshan plays a character named “Chandra”, a superhero, in this film. The name of the character played by Nazlan is “Sunny”.
The film stars Tamil actor Sandy as Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda, Chandu as ‘Venu’ and Arun Kurien as ‘Nigel’. “Loka – Chapter One: Chandra” is the first part of a multi-part cinematic universe. Shanthi Balachandran and Sarath Sabha are also among the star cast. The teaser and first look posters of the film hint that the film is set against a backdrop of a story that Malayali audiences have never seen before.
