Ugram Ujwalam, a Malayalam talent hunt show featuring people with exceptional talents, launched on 5 January 2015 at 8:00 PM, replacing Cinemaa Chirimaa in the slot.
Ugram Ujwalam featured Bala, Poornima Indrajith and Sudha Chandran on its judging panel and became another addition to Mazhavil Manorama’s reality and entertainment programming.
Revisiting Old Mazhavil Manorama Shows
Cinemaa Chirimaa represents an interesting period in Malayalam television when performers from Kerala’s established mimicry circuit were brought together for a dedicated comedy programme.
Alongside entertainment shows such as Cinemaa Chirimaa and Ugram Ujwalam, Mazhavil Manorama aired several popular serials during this era, including Amala, Balamani, Aniyathi and Ente Pennu.
Today, viewers can also revisit several old Mazhavil Manorama serials through ManoramaMAX. All episodes of Amala, starring Varada as Amala Narendran, are now streaming free on ManoramaMAX.
