The film directed by Sajil Mampad, which has brought together a line-up of young stars on social media, is a huge success. With housefull and fast-filling shows in most screens in Kerala for the first three days, Derby has become a favorite film of the audience. The late night shows that were charted yesterday also turned into housefull shows as per the audience’s demand. In the film, which is based on the story set in a campus setting in Malabar, Sajil Mampad presents the love, friendship, conflict and harmony of today’s youth in a complete entertainer in a great way. The excellent songs and background music composed by Gopi Sundar are gaining more attention in the film. The cinematography of Derby is by Abhinand Ramanujan, who has operated the camera behind some of the best South Indian films.

Straight Line Cinemas is distributing the film in theatres in Kerala. Fars Films is distributing the film in the GCC countries. RFT Entertainments is distributing the film in other foreign countries. The music rights of the film have been acquired by Millennium Audios.
