Cosmic Samson Malayalam movie officially began with a pooja ceremony attended by the film’s cast and crew. Featuring Sandeep Pradeep in the lead role, the film is written and directed by Abhijit Joseph and jointly produced by Sophia Paul under Weekend Blockbusters and Manuel Cruz Darwin under D Group.
The pooja ceremony was held at Anchumana Temple. Director Jis Joy performed the switch-on, while filmmaker Anwar Rasheed gave the first clap. Following the pooja, the makers announced that regular shooting of Cosmic Samson would begin on December 14.

Cosmic Samson Pooja Ceremony
The cast and technical crew of Cosmic Samson came together for the traditional pooja ceremony ahead of the commencement of filming.
The function was held at Anchumana Temple, marking the formal beginning of the Sandeep Pradeep starrer. Director Jis Joy switched on the camera, while Anwar Rasheed gave the first clap for the project.
Following the pooja and launch ceremonies, the team scheduled the regular shooting of Cosmic Samson to begin on December 14.
Sandeep Pradeep Plays the Lead Role
Sandeep Pradeep plays the lead character in Cosmic Samson. The project follows his performances in Padakkalam and Eko and places him at the centre of another major Malayalam production.
The supporting cast includes Mukesh, Miya George, Altaf Salim, Alphonse Puthren and Anuraj O.B., along with several newcomers.
More details about Sandeep Pradeep’s character and the other roles are expected to be revealed as the film progresses through production.
Abhijit Joseph Directs Cosmic Samson
The film is written and directed by Abhijit Joseph, who previously directed John Luther. Abhikersh Vasanth joins the project as co-writer, while Bino T. Abraham serves as executive producer.
Cosmic Samson is planned as a multilingual theatrical release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
The makers were targeting a theatrical release around mid-2026, with the final release date to be announced later.
10th Film From Weekend Blockbusters
Cosmic Samson is also a milestone project for Weekend Blockbusters, becoming the tenth film produced by the banner.
Sophia Paul’s production house has previously backed films including Bangalore Days, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Minnal Murali and RDX.
For Cosmic Samson, Weekend Blockbusters joins hands with Manuel Cruz Darwin’s D Group.
Vlad Rimburg Handles the Action
International action director Vlad Rimburg is associated with Cosmic Samson as its action director. His involvement is another highlight of the project following his work on Minnal Murali.
The film also brings together an extensive technical team, with Deepak D. Menon handling cinematography, Chaman Chacko editing and Sibi Mathew Alex composing the music.
