For the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, a film under court receivership is getting ready for release. The suspense thriller film “Chera” stars Roshan Mathew and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles.
The court has reached the stage of appointing a receiver in the case following a financial dispute between producer MC Arun under the banner of Line of Colors and co-producer Nirup Gupta under the banner of NNG Films. Further matters related to the film Chera will now proceed under the control of the receiver.

Produced by MC Arun under the banner of Line of Colors in association with NNG Films and co-produced by Nirup Gupta, Chera is directed by Lijin Jose. Alex J. Pulikkal has cinematography by Ajay Tundathil.
Advocate Rashmi Gopalakrishnan has been appointed as the receiver of the film by Ernakulam Additional Commercial Court Judge Rashmi B. Chittoor. In this case, Advocate Rain K. Ravi and Advocate Jeemon P. Abraham appeared in court on behalf of the plaintiff NNG Films Niroup Gupta.
