Mohanlal Returns as Host for the Seventh Season
Mohanlal continued his association with the reality show by hosting Bigg Boss Malayalam for the seventh time.
Asianet promoted Season 7 under the tagline “Ezhinte Pani”, with a series of promo videos building anticipation ahead of the Grand Launch.
Alongside the television broadcast, JioHotstar provided 24×7 live streaming of Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7. The official online voting mechanism was also available through JioHotstar after the season launched.
Mohanlal’s Movies Around Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7
Around the launch of Season 7, Mohanlal had completed Hridayapoorvam, reuniting with director Sathyan Anthikkadu. The film was scheduled for an Onam release on August 28, 2025, with Mohanlal playing Sandeep Balakrishnan.
Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Sabitha Anand, Baburaj, Nishan, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan and S. P. Charan were among the other actors in the film.
Mohanlal was also associated with projects including Bha. Bha. Ba (Bhayam, Bhakthi, Bahumanam) in a cameo appearance, along with Vrusshabha, Drishyam 3 and Patriot.

The Grand Launch Ceremony on August 3, 2025 introduced the housemates participating in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7.
Host Mohanlal welcomed the contestants, interacted with them and introduced them to viewers before they began their journey inside the Bigg Boss house.
