Captaincy Task Begins on Day 1
The first day inside the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 house also featured the Captaincy Task.
For the leadership competition, one contestant had to come forward with two followers. The housemates eventually formed themselves into seven teams.
Each team had to stand on boxes placed in the garden area. There were three pairs of boxes, with each pair consisting of three boxes. The teams competed against each other and had to remain standing on the boxes until the buzzer sounded.
As the task progressed, Eldho George, Jaseela Parveen and Noby Binu emerged as the final leadership nominees.
Jaseela Wins the Captaincy
The final captaincy decision was made through voting by the housemates. Jaseela Parveen won the vote and became the winner of the leadership task.
Jaseela and her two followers, Mridula Vijay and Sumesh Chandran, received nomination immunity as a reward.
The immunity gave all three protection from the Week 1 nomination process, while nine other contestants entered the first public voting round of Season 8.
Week 1 Voting and Eviction
With Noby Binu, Rini Ann George, Dhanya (Kaali), Rahul Easwar, Mohammed Azif, Shijin S, Sreeraj K S, Eldho George and Neha Fathima nominated, the first week now moves into the public voting phase.
Viewers supporting any of the nominated housemates can use the official voting facility on JioHotstar during the active voting period. The voting outcome will play an important role in determining who remains in the competition as Season 8 moves towards its first eviction.
