BARC Malayalam television ratings for Week 32 of 2016 have been published, with Mazhavil Manorama returning to the second position. The ratings cover the period from 6 August to 12 August 2016. Asianet continued its strong lead at the top, while Surya TV moved down to third place after holding the second position in the previous weeks.
Mazhavil Manorama recorded a notable improvement during Week 32, increasing from 230 points in Week 31 to 304 points. Surya TV, meanwhile, dropped from 330 points to 273 points. Flowers TV remained another major player with 218 points.

Asianet Continues at the Top
Asianet retained its position as the leading Malayalam television channel in the Week 32 BARC ratings. The channel registered 952 points, improving from 909 points in the previous week.
Although the figure remained below its Week 30 performance of 1066 points, Asianet maintained a substantial lead over the other Malayalam channels.
Mazhavil Manorama Moves Back to Number Two
The biggest change in the BARC Malayalam TV ratings for Week 32 was the return of Mazhavil Manorama to second position.
Mazhavil Manorama increased its score from 230 points in Week 31 to 304 points in Week 32, a gain of 74 points. The improvement helped the channel move ahead of Surya TV in the weekly rankings.
Surya TV Drops to Third Position
Surya TV moved to the third position after spending the previous weeks ahead of Mazhavil Manorama.
The channel registered 273 points in Week 32, compared with 330 points in Week 31. This represents a decline of 57 points from the previous week’s performance.
Flowers TV followed with 218 points, while Asianet Movies registered 191 points. Kiran TV and Asianet Plus recorded 147 and 141 points respectively.
Malayalam Serial Ratings – Week 32
Among the Asianet serials listed in the Week 32 data, Parasparam registered 18.6 points, followed by Chandanamazha with 16 points and Karutha Muthu with 15 points. Bharya recorded 11.9 points, while Pranayam registered 8.6 points.
Among the listed Surya TV programmes, Naaga Kanyaka recorded 5.5 points, followed by Maha Veera Hanuman with 3.9 points. In the available Mazhavil Manorama serial data, Manjurukum Kaalam registered 6.2 points.
BARC Ratings for Malayalam Television Channels
The Week 32 figures provide a snapshot of the Malayalam television market during 6–12 August 2016. Asianet remained comfortably at the top, while the competition for second position changed again as Mazhavil Manorama moved ahead of Surya TV.
