Avicharitham Serial Repeat Telecast on Asianet – Old Malayalam Serial Airs Monday to Friday at 12:00 Noon

Avicharitham, one of the popular old Malayalam television serials aired on Asianet, returns to the channel through a repeat telecast. The serial is scheduled Monday to Friday at 12:00 Noon, as Asianet brings back some of its older programs following changes to its regular programming during the COVID-19 period.

Asianet is also re-telecasting Kailasanathan, the Malayalam dubbed version of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, from Monday to Friday at 5:30 PM. Changes were also introduced to the duration and timings of several other programs as the television industry faced interruptions to serial production.

Asianet Brings Back Old Television Programs

The COVID-19 situation significantly affected television serial production, with shooting schedules disrupted across the industry. Channels had to reorganize their schedules and find alternative programming for vacant time slots.

Asianet responded by bringing back some of its popular older programs while also adjusting the duration of currently running serials.

One of these returning shows is Avicharitham, scheduled at 12:00 Noon on weekdays. Kailasanathan also returned to the schedule at 5:30 PM.

Avicharitham – Popular Old Asianet Serial

Avicharitham is one of the notable Malayalam television serials directed by K.K. Rajeev. The serial was written by Bobby and Sanjay and produced by Prem Prakash.

The cast includes Prem Prakash, Adithyan Jayan, Valsala Menon, Suvarna Mathew, Sukumari, Sreevidya and Archana, among others.

The serial also received recognition at the Kerala State Television Awards, including the Best Serial honour. K.K. Rajeev received recognition for direction, with the serial winning a total of five awards.

Its return to Asianet gave viewers another opportunity to revisit one of the channel’s well-known older Malayalam television productions.

Kailasanathan Repeat Telecast at 5:30 PM

Kailasanathan, the Malayalam dubbed version of the Hindi mythological television series Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, was another show brought back by Asianet.

The repeat telecast started from 23 March and was scheduled Monday to Friday at 5:30 PM.

As part of the schedule changes, the duration of Kannante Radha was reduced to 30 minutes, while adjustments were also made to several prime-time programs.

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 2 Discontinued

The COVID-19 situation also affected Asianet’s major reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 2. The channel eventually discontinued the second season as production became difficult under the prevailing circumstances.

Asianet consequently reorganized different parts of its daily schedule using movies, repeat telecasts and edited versions of entertainment programs.

The revised Asianet lineup included a combination of movies, repeat telecasts, entertainment programs and regular Malayalam serials.

Avicharitham and Kailasanathan Return to Asianet Schedule

With television production disrupted during the COVID-19 period, bringing back Avicharitham and Kailasanathan helped Asianet fill important daytime and evening slots while offering viewers familiar programs from its television library.

Avicharitham airs Monday to Friday at 12:00 Noon, while Kailasanathan is scheduled at 5:30 PM as part of the revised Asianet programming lineup.
