The title teaser of “Athiradi – അതിരടി “, produced by actor and director Basil Joseph under the banner of Basil Joseph Entertainments and Dr. Ananthu S under the banner of Dr. Ananthu Entertainments, is out. The film, starring Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan in the lead roles, is being made into a solid mass entertainer. It is directed by Arun Anirudhan.
“Athiradi” is also the directorial debut of Arun, one of the scriptwriters of “Minnal Murali”, directed by Basil Joseph. The shooting of Athirady will begin by the end of October. The script is written by Paulson Skaria and Arun Anirudhan. Director and cinematographer Sameer Thahir and Tovino Thomas are the co-producers of Athirady. After Minnal Murali, Athiradi is also the film where Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, Sameer Thahir and Arun Anirudhan will be together.

Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas are in mass getups in the title teaser, which starts with them playing the character of Vineeth Sreenivasan in Athiradi. With the dialogue “If one is a forest fire, the other is a storm”, the teaser hints that Athiradi is preparing to be a mass action entertainer that will shake up the theaters. The dialogue that what is coming next is not just a fire, but an Athiradi also gives hope that the “Athiradi” team is preparing to present a great theatrical experience.
The teaser also makes it clear that the three are playing characters with polar opposites in appearance and character. The Athiradi teaser is reminiscent of the title announcement teasers of blockbuster South Indian films. Apart from Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada teasers have also been released.
The casting call for the film was released earlier with the caption “We need mass boys who can break the mass bunk”. Basil released more information about the film while announcing the film and launching the logo of his production house a few weeks ago.
