Promotions of Upcoming Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan Movie Thug Life Started

The promotions of Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited film Thug Life have begun across the globe. The trailer of Thug Life is set to be released on May 17. The audio launch of the movie, with a live performance by AR Rahman’s team, will be held on May 24 at Sairam College, Chennai. There will be events in Kochi on May 21 as part of the Kerala promotion and in Thiruvananthapuram on May 28 as part of the Kerala pre-release event with the participation of the Thug Life cast and crew. The Film will be released in theatres worldwide on June 5.
Thug Life is a film that reunites Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam after 37 years. Joju George, Trisha, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nassar, Ashok Selvan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Jishu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Sharaf, Vaiyapuri and others play other characters in the film. The film is produced by Rajkamal Films International, Madras Talkies, Red Giant Movies, R Mahendran and Siva Ananth.
Mani Ratnam’s regular collaborators, music director A R Rahman and editor Sreekar Prasad, are also working together in this film. Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, who has previously worked with Mani Ratnam in films like Kannathil Muthamittal and Ayudhya Ezhuth, is handling the camera for the new film. The action choreography is being done by Anpariv Masters, who collaborated with Kamal for Vikram. Thug Life’s makeup artist Ranjith Ambadi, production designer Sharmishtha Roy and costume designer Eka Lakhani are working on the film. PRO: Pratheesh Shekhar.
