Considerable technical work has gone into preparing Thenmavin Kombathu for its new theatrical release.
As part of the restoration process, the original 35mm film print was scanned in 8K. The material was subsequently down-converted to Super 4K and restored in Super 4K resolution.
A new Dolby Atmos sound mix has also been prepared for the theatrical version, giving audiences an immersive audio presentation alongside the restored visuals.
