The new film starring superstar Rajinikanth is being produced by superstar Kamal Haasan. The film, tentatively titled “Thalaivar 173”, is being directed by Sundar C. Produced by Kamal Haasan under the banner of Raj Kamal Films International, the film is set to release globally for Pongal 2027. The announcement of this Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan-Sundar C film comes as Raj Kamal Films International celebrates its 44th anniversary. The film is being produced by Red Giant Movies.

This project is a direct look at the friendship and brotherhood between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, which has been going on for five decades. This film, which could become a milestone in Tamil, will begin shooting next year.
