The upcoming Malayalam movie Sarafas has officially been launched with its title launch and switch-on ceremony held at Sri Mulam Club, Thiruvananthapuram. The film features Asha Sharath and Irshad Ali in the lead roles and is written and directed by Ajmal R.
The switch-on ceremony was performed by P. C. Vishnunadh, Minister for Cinema and Tourism, while actor Jayan Cherthala gave the first clap. O. J. Janeesh, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, attended the event as the chief guest.
Former MP A. M. Ariff, Madhupal, Balaji Sharma and several other personalities were also present at the launch event.

Sarafas Title Launch and Switch-On Ceremony
The title launch and switch-on ceremony of Sarafas was held at Sri Mulam Club in Thiruvananthapuram, officially marking the beginning of the new Malayalam film.

Sarafas Shooting Starts in October
The filming of Sarafas is scheduled to begin in October 2026. The makers have selected Thodupuzha, Kottayam and Kuttikkanam as the principal shooting locations.
The theatrical release date of the movie has not yet been announced.
