Saina Play Now Streaming PWD (Proposal Wedding Divorce) , Malayalam OTT Mini Movie

The two central characters, Davis and Eileen, register their marriage under the Indian Special Marriage Act to accompany their wife to the UK after their wedding. But hours before the wedding, the bride Eileen demands an expiration date on their marriage certificate. Although it may sound trivial, the film “PWD” has brought a revolutionary idea that will destroy the family system of India.

The film has a genre that is not very familiar in Malayalam, namely conversational debate. The story takes place in and around a beautiful bungalow in Ooty. “PWD” is also the first Indian film made by British Australian cinematographer Susan Lumsden. The main attraction of the film is the colorful visuals. Siddhartha Pradeep, who gained attention through films like “I Am Kaathalan” and “Jai Mahendran“, has composed the music. Siddhartha Pradeep’s music helps a lot in enhancing the enjoyment of the film.
Director and writer Joe Joseph had decided at the very beginning of the film that there was no need to stretch the film to two and a half hours to present an idea in an interesting way in the changing times. The film is one hour long. “PWD (Proposal Wedding Divorce)” is also the first OTT mini-feature film in Malayalam. Shyam Sasidharan’s innovative editing pattern helps the flow of the film a lot.
The sound design deployed by Indian National Award winner sound designer Sinoy Joseph for a very new location setting is also excellent. The coloring is done by State Award winner Liju Prabhakar. Ajay Tundathil is the PRO of the film.
It cannot be assumed that the topic that PWD (Proposal Wedding Divorce) talks about will entertain all types of audiences equally. Although the dialogues in some scenes are humorous, it is likely to annoy a very few people. Although comments are coming on social media that the character of Tony Mathangaparambil, played by newcomer Suhas Vishnu, was very good, it can be understood from the comments that the character irritated some others. The film progresses and ends by mentioning and criticizing cinema, marriage, migration, religion, and many other things. PWD is available on Signplay.
