People TV is a channel that was launched by Malayalam Communications Ltd. the first people’s television initiative of world. Kairali TV is the first attempt by this group. The channel extremely biased and leftist propaganda machine focuses on news and current issues. It paved way to the resignation of then Minister of Kerala, K.K. Ramachandran Master in 2005 through a telephone taping. It was a new chapter in the history of Malayalam Television Journalism. It was People TV that introduced camera sting operation in Malayalam Television Journalism successfully. But the channel is restricting that kind of operations within the healthy limits and keeping it as a powerful weapon rarely uses.
