The first poster of Patriot, which can be called the biggest collaboration of 2026, will be released on Republic Day. Featuring a large star cast along with Malayalam cinema legends Mammootty and Mohanlal, Patriot tells a courageous story of patriotism. This will be one of the biggest spy thrillers Indian cinema has ever seen. The first poster of the film was announced to be released tomorrow by sharing the character posters of the film with the tagline “Dissent is patriotic, In a world full of traitors, be a Patriot!”. Character posters of 6 characters in the film were released between 11 am and 6 pm today. Character posters of Nayanthara, Rajeev Menon, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Mammootty, and Mohanlal were released today.

Patriot is not only a film in which Mammootty and Mohanlal come together after seventeen years. The film also features a large number of young stars from Malayalam cinema. The list goes from Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban to Darshana Rajendran and Serin Shihab. With the addition of Nayanthara, Patriot has the biggest star cast that Malayalam cinema has seen in two decades.

Patriot, which is set to be a pan-Indian film, is directed by Mahesh Narayanan, who has proven his mettle with films like Take Off, See You Soon, and Malik. The film is being made on the biggest budget in Malayalam to date. The shooting lasted for more than a year in more than ten schedules in different countries. Patriot shooting began in Sri Lanka in November 2024. Patriot also has the distinction of being the film shot in the most countries in Malayalam. Patriot was shot in various locations in India, Sri Lanka, the UK, Azerbaijan, and the UAE. The film was shot in major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kochi.

The Patriot teaser confirmed that Patriot will be of international standard. The biggest attraction of the film will be the thrilling action scenes. The best technicians have come together for this film. Sushin Shyam, who makes the hearts of the young generation beat and composes music to its rhythm, is the music director. Manush Nandan, who is famous for Bollywood films like Thugs of Hindostan and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is the cameraman. The film is written by director Mahesh Narayanan.
