The shooting of the film “Palpayasam @ Guruvayur” (പാൽപായസം @ ഗുരുവായൂർ) , written and directed by Vijeesh Mani and starring Karthik Shankar and Gokulam Gopalan in the lead roles, began on Sri Krishna Jayanthi.

Producer and actor Gokulam Gopalan and Jalaja Gopalan lit the Bhadradeepam at the pooja switching ceremony held at Gokulam Vanamala, Guruvayur. Guruvayur Devaswom member Manoj B Nair handed over the script prepared by him to director Vijeesh Mani.
Devaswom Chairman Dr. V. K. Vijayan gave the first clap. Silent Yogi Harinarayan Swami delivered the benediction speech. Guruvayur Municipal Chairman Krishnadas, Ratheesh’ Vega, Karthik Shankar, Jayaraj Warrier, Girish Kodungallur, Surendran, Udaya Shankar, Sujith Mattanur, Sreejith Guruvayur, Babu Guruvayur, Sajeevan Nambiyat, Ravi Chankath, Kamal, Shobha Harinarayan, Laina Nair, Mukesh Lal Guruvayur, Shafiq Achuthan, and Prarthana Prashanth offered their best wishes.
