MP Basheer took over as the chief editor of Kochi-based News Malayalam 24*7 News Channel on November 23. The owners of the channel are News Malayalam Pvt Ltd, a newly started company with the support of News Tamil Channel in Tamil Nadu.
Shakilan Padmanabhan and Abubakar Siddique Mecheri are the directors of the company. TM Harshan and E Saneesh as news directors and Anoop Parameswaran, Lakshmi Padma, AU Ranjith, V. S. Sanoj, Mahesh Chandran, Fauzia Mustafa etc are also present in other important roles.
