“Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra”, the seventh film produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, marks the beginning of a superhero universe in Malayalam. The film, which stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nazlan in the lead roles, is being made as a superhero film.
Kalyani plays a superhero character in this film. Written and directed by Dominic Arun, this film is being made on a huge budget. “Chandra” is the first chapter in a superhero cinematic universe called “Lokah”. Director Dominic Arun revealed in an interview with The Cue Studio that there was never a thought of creating Lokah with the tag of the first female superhero in Malayalam and that this is a superhero film full of elements familiar to Malayalis.
He said that Lokah has a story with multiple chapters that cannot be contained in a single film, and the first part is designed to introduce Kalyani’s character. He added that other chapters in this universe are also being developed and that he does not want to compare Lokah with any other film in the superhero category. He said that they hope that the audience will connect with Lokah and that they have got a great team to bring the story they had in mind to life in the best possible way. He explained that they are trying to create a new fictional world through this universe while staying close to the current reality.
The first look poster of the film was released, giving the audience great excitement and anticipation. Along with Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nazlan, the film, which also features Chandu Salim Kumar, Arun Kurian, and Shanthi Balachandran in crucial roles, is awaited with great expectations.
