The censoring of Dulquer Salmaan’s seventh film, “Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra“, produced by Wayfarer Films, has been completed. The film has been given a UA certificate. The film will be released globally on August 28 as an Onam release. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nazlan play the lead roles in the film. Made on a huge budget, ‘Lokah’ is written and directed by Dominic Arun. “Chandra” is the first film in a superhero cinematic universe called “Lokah”. The film, which is being released by Wayfarer Films as a big release in Kerala, is also being distributed by big distributors in the Rest of India market.
The film is being distributed by AGS Cinemas in Tamil, Lighter Buddha Films in Karnataka, Sithara Entertainments in Telugu, and Pen Marudhar in North India. The film will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.
Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the role of a superhero named “Chandra” in the film, and the name of the character played by Nazlan is “Sunny”. Tamil actor Sandy plays the role of Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda, Chandu plays ‘Venu’, and Arun Kurien plays ‘Nigel’ in the film. Shanthi Balachandran and Sarath Sabha are also in the star cast of the film. “Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra” is the first part of a cinematic universe that is being prepared in multiple parts.
The first look poster, teaser and promo song ‘Thani Loka Murakari‘ of ‘Lokah’, which were released earlier, received a good response from the audience. The teaser, which came with stunning visuals and great music, gained a lot of attention on social media. The film is set in a story that Malayali audiences have never seen before. The film, which is awaited with great expectations by the audience, will also be screened on epic screens in South India.
