Mystery and horror collide in Kishkindhapuri as it is set to premiere on ZEE5 from October 24
ZEE5, India’s largest homegrown OTT platform, is set to premiere Kishkindhapuri on October 24. Directed by Kaushik Pegallapati and produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film stars Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Anupama Parameswaran, Makarand Deshpande, and Tanikella Bharani in lead roles. Following its OTT release on October 17th in Telugu ZEE5 and successfully winning the hearts of the viewers; now the film is now gearing up for its digital debut in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, promising to enthral audiences across languages.

Set against the eerie backdrop of an abandoned radio station, the film follows a group of visitors on a ghost tour who inadvertently awaken a dormant spirit. What begins as curiosity soon spirals into a terrifying ordeal, as the group finds themselves trapped inside with no way out.
Director Kaushik Pegallapati shared, “With Kishkindhapuri, I wanted to go beyond jump scares and create a horror experience that feels rooted in our soil. The abandoned radio station fascinated me, it wasn’t just a backdrop, but a living, breathing character with its own mysteries. We drew from local folklore to make the narrative authentic, and the psychological tension was just as important as the supernatural elements. I’m eager for audiences to step into that world and feel the unease we tried to build with every frame.”
Talking about his role, Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas said, “This was one of the toughest roles I’ve taken on because horror requires you to react to things that aren’t always there in front of you. As an actor, it pushed me out of my comfort zone; I had to constantly live in that atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. Even off-camera, the eerie setting of the radio station lingered with me. I think audiences will enjoy the way the film keeps you guessing at every turn.”
Anupama Parameswaran added, “What excited me about Kishkindhapuri was how real everything felt. My character isn’t a ‘horror heroine’ stereotype; she feels fear, she breaks down, she questions herself, but she also finds strength in the most unexpected moments. That human side of survival is what I hope people will connect with. For me, shooting in those haunting locations was an experience in itself. It almost felt like the environment was pushing us deeper into our roles.”
With gripping performances, haunting visuals, and a storyline that keeps viewers guessing till the very end, Kishkindhapuri is all set to become a must-watch for horror lovers.
Don’t miss the supernatural thrills of Kishkindhapuri, streaming from October 24 in Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam only on ZEE5.
