Malayalam general entertainment channel Asianet has lined up a special two-week programming schedule comprising comedy shows, films, music-based shows , interviews, cookery shows and other specials on the occasion of Onam. In addition to exclusive programmes with popular actors like Mammootty , Nivin Pauly and Jayaram one of the major highlights of Asianet’s Onam 2017 offerings is nine movie premieres.

On 3 September, also known as ‘Uthradam Day’, the channel will premiere four films including “ Oru Mexiacan Aparatha , staring : Tovino , Neeraj Madhav , Gayathri Suresh etc “ at 9:00 am, followed by ‘Achayans, starring: Jayaram, Unni Mukundan , Amala Paul etc’ at 12:30 pm and ‘ Pulimurugan , starring : Mohanlal, Kamalini Mugharjee etc ’ at 3.30 pm. In the evening, the channel will telecast ‘ Saghavu , starring : Nivin Pauly , Gayathri Suresh, Aparna Gopinath etc’ at 7 pm.
