On its 25th anniversary and in step with its role as a leader in program pioneering, Asianet has signed Super star Mohan Lal to host the most anticipated show in Malayalam Television – Bigg Boss. This was announced by Mr. K. Madhavan, M.D, Star South, According to him, this show is expected to be another path breaking program from Asianet which already has to its credit such iconic reality shows such as Star Singer, Nigalkum Aakam Kodiswaran, and hugely popular serials like Kukumappovu, Streedhanam & Parasparam (1444 episodes, the longest running Malayalam serial).

He said “for 25 years, Asianet has given its viewers pioneering and dramatic content. We wanted to give something that has never been seen before – for our 25th anniversary. What better program can there be when biggest superstar of Malayalam cinema hosts one of the most exciting realty show!” Presented by Asianet and produced by Endemol Shine Productions, Bigg Boss will feature 16 celebrities living together inside a custom made ‘Bigg Boss’ house for 100 days. The participants will be completely cut off from the outside world – they will have no access to internet, phones, television or newspapers.

With no way out to distract themselves, each participant will have to compete with others inside the house to complete various tasks; they will be tracked and monitored by 60 robotic & manned cameras continuously. The lavish Bigg Boss house will have all necessary comfort to stay for 100 days. Mr. Mohan Lal stated that he is looking forward to anchor this unique show. “This show will definitely be a new experience for me. It is a role that I am excited about because the challenges will be totally different.”
