Amma show started with honoring senior artists from the industry named guru vandhanam. Madhu, KG Pillai, Janardhanan, KR Vijaya, Raghavan, Balachandra menon, KPAC lalitha, Poojappura Ravi, TP Madhavan, Sreelatha namboothiri etc honored through Amma’s guru vandhanam.
Jagathi sreekumar, sheela, kaviyoor ponnamma , kanya bharathi etc also selected for the honor, but they can’t participate the function. Inagural show, fireworks etc are the starting items of the show. All the leading artists of malayalam attend the function, mammootty, mohanlal, dulquar salmaan , namitha pramod etc.
