Akhil Marar Lifts the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 Trophy
Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 concluded with a grand finale on Day 99, crowning Akhil Marar as the title winner. Along with the coveted trophy, Akhil received the ₹50 lakh cash prize and a Maruti Fronx from Nexa.
Reneesha Rahman finished as the First Runner-up and received a MyG gift voucher. Junaiz VP secured the Second Runner-up position, while Sobha Viswanath and Shiju Abdul Rasheed finished as the Third and Fourth Runner-up, respectively.

Akhil Marar was born on 7 September 1988 to Rajendran Pillai and Ammini Amma in Kottarakkara, Kollam district, Kerala. He completed his primary education at CFHS Kottayam and SVMMVHSS Vendar, before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Fatima Mata National College, Kollam.
A filmmaker, writer, and public speaker, Akhil entered the Bigg Boss house as one of the most talked-about contestants of Season 5. Throughout the competition, he remained a dominant presence and built a strong fan following, eventually emerging as the winner through public voting.
Akhil is also active on social media, particularly Facebook, where he regularly shares his opinions on social and political issues. He was previously associated with the Indian National Congress and later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), serving as a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha district committee before eventually parting ways with the party.
