Asianet has announced auditions for the fifth season of the music reality show Idea Star Singer.
Entries have been invited for the Asianet Idea Star Singer: Season 5 contest being organised by Asianet and Idea mobile.
Those between the ages of 16 and 35 can participate in the contest.
Applicants should send their bio-data, a CD comprising songs sung by them and a photograph to the address

This is to all critisizers of the idea star singer judges. These judges are making very good judgement since I know music judgement is very hard. Also keep in mind that it is not only the judges watching this program. Many talented persons watching this and they never complaint about the judgements. Then why you people are worrying. Also this program in driven by sms, advertisements and sponsorships. Even the judges give equal marks to all the contestants by sms percentage one will be the winner. So the major play is with the public. Every one will follow send sms to the dearest one. Some will go with the beauty of the contestant, another with the music he like and so on. All we can say is a fate for the looser and luck for the winner. Bringing physically chanllenged contestants is for simpathy only. Why not make a separate program for these physically challenged candidates. I am sure there will be good sponsor for this? I hope Srikandan Nair get better idea for a new program

I have a humble request to you regarding Idea Star Singer show. Some of the participants are promoted by no means in each rounds, may be for the sake of sms and increasing the viewership of the episodes. Please give priority ONLY on the basis of talent and not on any other consideration. We, the viewers, are not fools to watch the untalented participants are promoted in each episodes/elimination rounds. So please do a fair judgement on the talents.

I am regular viewer of idea star singer.everybody complaints about judges.but iam agaist selection of season 5 some contestens.because some contestens are also professional film singers.I think the Idea star singer promot upcoming singers This type of selection is unfair. so please note this to selection
please try to stop the unnessesary or commend of Mr. MG Sreekumar’s to the singers, as he says to the singer we also waching his inselting dialog to innocent singer, this is the one example is not to continue Mr.SaiBalan because of MG’s commend, and MG should understand that no one has reached anywere in music that much or fillfulled everything.. it very sad his commend we felt all.

Pls change the judges or bring someone new and Most of all REMOVE RANJINI out of the show. Day by day she is becoming worst with her comments, looks, dressing, attitude and most of all pls ask her to stop her ugly LAUGH. I wonder how she is still on the show…She is an ugly OLD KELAVI
Bring in someone Young, attractive and talented. There are soo many young talented girls who are looking for a JOB. I wonder why ASIA NET is after RANJINI, doubt whether the MD has a relationship with UGLY OLD KELAVI.
IF RANJINI has some SHAME after so many ppl requesting her to QUIT….she should step out of the SHOW. If we still find her hanging around ASIA NET like a Spider…I can only say that RANJINI = UGLY SHAMELESS KELAVI
I would also like to ADD that, judges do not have the right to insult the contestants. They are sitting there to find the wrong and correct.
Judges should give their individual SCORE.
Finally !~ Pls stop this SMS voting and be practical and sincere enough to choose the best Singer.
SMS voting is nothing but, hell a lot of Money for IDEA cellular Group. I can guarantee that they will not stop this RULE.
Hell with the SHOW, the Group, the Judges and PLS PLS PLS….remove the OLD KELAVI – RANJINI out of the SHOW. She is no more fit to be there.
The show is changing from a reality show into a pure drama,this is not the idea star singer we want.
And another thing is that we don’t want to se “PROFESSIONAL’singers like KALPANA” ..kalpana-the tamil girl,in anyway,should NOT win the 5th season of this show..idea star singer is purely meant for amateur singers…if kalpana wins,it will be insult to all malayalee’s..and i guarantee you this will affect your show.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.
Voting should be made TOLFREE if asianet really cares for their contestants & not for the channels publicity.
Mr. Anil gz, I don’t know why you are so angry at Ranjini Haridas. I dont find ay thing wrong wit dt girl! She’s ok! I like her accent in english and the way she presents the program. Actually, she is also a part of the success of this show. Pls dont criticize anyone too much! Nobody’s perfect! Dont feel anything bad. I just made my part clear to you!
