Bhadra Serial on Surya TV – Seena Antony in Lead, Telecast Time and Cast

Bhadra was a Malayalam television serial launched on Surya TV on 16 September, with actress Seena Antony playing the female lead. The family drama was scheduled every Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM.

The launch of Bhadra was part of significant changes made to Surya TV’s prime-time schedule. Ennu Swantham Jaani reached its climax, while Alauddin was extended to a one-hour slot from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Bhadra subsequently occupied the 7:00 PM slot.

The serial also marked the return of Baiju Devaraj to the Malayalam mini-screen. Several familiar television artists were part of the cast, including Sreelakshmi.

Seena Antony played the female lead in Bhadra, with the storyline revolving around the central character and her struggles within the family.

The actress is also known for her appearance as Meenu in the Malayalam film Akashadoothu. Her performance as a child artist earned her recognition, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist.

Bhadra brought Seena Antony back to a prominent Malayalam television role, while Surya TV extensively promoted the serial ahead of its launch.

Baiju Devaraj Returns to Malayalam Television

Another notable name associated with Bhadra was Baiju Devaraj, who returned to the mini-screen through the Surya TV serial.

Sreelakshmi was also among the familiar television artists appearing in the family drama. Surya TV had previously used the title Bhadra for another television serial, making this a new production carrying the familiar name.

Bhadra Replaces Ennu Swantham Jaani

The introduction of Bhadra followed the conclusion of Ennu Swantham Jaani, which had Baby Niranjana in the central role.

Surya TV made several changes to its evening schedule around the same period. Alauddin was extended to one hour and aired from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, immediately followed by Bhadra.

Other serials in the lineup included Oridathoru Rajakumari, Praanasakhi, Nilapakshi, Chocolate and Thamara Thumbi.

Surya TV Prime-Time Schedule

The revised evening schedule started with Vaalsalyam at 5:30 PM, followed by Alauddin at 6:00 PM. Bhadra occupied the 7:00 PM slot, while Oridathoru Rajakumari followed at 7:30 PM.

Praanasakhi was telecast at 8:00 PM, Nilapakshi at 8:30 PM, Chocolate at 9:00 PM and Thamara Thumbi at 9:30 PM. Alauddin returned with another telecast at 10:00 PM.

Bhadra Serial TRP Ratings

Despite the promotional campaign surrounding its launch, Bhadra did not initially make a major impact on the television ratings chart.

According to the BARC Week 46 data referenced in the original update, Bhadra recorded 0.69 TVR, remaining below the one-point mark.

During the same period, Surya TV was introducing and preparing additional programs to strengthen its lineup. Oru Bhayankara Veedu, featuring Saira from Calicut in the lead role, and the upcoming series Ithikkara Pakki were among the other shows mentioned.
