Asianet Maintains A Comfortable Lead

Asianet continues to lead the Malayalam television market by a significant margin. The channel’s strong lineup of serials and entertainment programming helped it maintain a substantial advantage over its competitors during Week 22.

The battle for the second and third positions remained extremely close, with Flowers TV narrowly staying ahead of Mazhavil Manorama.

Zee Keralam Eyes FIFA 2026 Boost

While Zee Keralam remained in fourth position this week, the channel could benefit from the growing excitement surrounding FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage.

Football enjoys massive popularity in Kerala, and the availability of Malayalam commentary for FIFA 2026 is expected to attract significant interest among viewers. With the tournament now underway, the coming weeks will reveal whether football-related promotions and increased audience engagement translate into improved viewership for the Zee Network.

Although weekly channel ratings are primarily driven by entertainment programming, major sporting events often help networks strengthen their visibility and reach among viewers.

Other Channels

Asianet Movies secured the fifth position, while Sun Surya and Kairali TV continued to maintain their presence in the Malayalam television market. Movie, comedy, music, and children’s channels also recorded their respective viewership figures during the week.

It will be interesting to see how the FIFA World Cup season and upcoming television programming influence the Malayalam channel rankings in the weeks ahead.
