Masthishka Maranam Movie Release Date is 27 February, (A Frankenbiting of Simon’s Memories)

Krishand’s new film, Masthishka Maranam; Simon’s Memories, has its release date out. The film will hit theaters globally on February 27, 2026. The film is being produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films. The full title of the film is “Brain Death – A Frankenbiting of Simon’s Memories”.

Written and directed by Krishand after the critically and critically acclaimed films Aavasavyuham and Purush Pretham, this film is also a science fiction film in which Ajith Vinayaka Films and Krishand Films have come together after the film ‘Gaganachari’. It is touted to be a science fiction investigation comedy film set in the year 2046.

2 teasers of the film have already been released and have garnered a lot of attention from the audience. The teasers indicate that the film has adopted a presentation style full of science fiction in a local setting. The teaser visuals also show that the film, which maintains a futuristic neo-noir mood, has a visual language that is on par with international films. The film is set in the backdrop of the city of Kochi in 2046 (Neo Kochi).

The songs in the film have also become super hits. The first song from the film, “Komala Thamara“, and the later song “Aradhakan”, are now viral on social media. These songs also indicate that the film has a very different style of making. The songs have been presented in a style that Malayalam audiences have not seen before. The teasers and songs indicate that the film will have a storytelling style that has not been seen in Malayalam cinema until now.

The film has been made in a way that VFX is of great importance. The film is said to have a different storyline like that of films like Loka and Blade Runner, and the shooting of the second part will begin in July this year.

Rajisha Vijayan, Niranj Maniyan Pillai Raju, Jagadish, Suresh Krishna, Nandu, Divya Prabha, Ann Jameela Saleem, Shanthi Balachandran, Vishnu Agasthya, Shambhu, Sai Gayathri, Sreenath Babu, Manoj Kana, Shins Shan, Mithun Venugopal, Sachin Joseph, Ashley Isaac, Anoop Mohandas, and Jain Andrews are playing crucial roles in the film, while actor Sanju Sivaram is also making a guest appearance. Saregama has acquired the music rights of the film.
