France continued their impressive FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with a commanding 2-0 victory over Morocco at Boston Stadium, securing a place in their third consecutive FIFA World Cup semi-final. Just six minutes later, Mbappé turned provider. His intelligent movement created space for Ousmane Dembélé, who curled a low effort beyond Bounou to double France’s advantage and effectively end the contest.

Mbappé’s goal was his eighth of the tournament and the 20th FIFA World Cup goal of his career in only 20 appearances. Even more remarkably, 12 of those goals have come during the knockout stages, underlining his reputation as one of football’s biggest big-match performers.
Morocco found it difficult to break through France’s disciplined defence throughout the match. The Atlas Lions managed just one shot on target, while goalkeeper Mike Maignan was rarely tested.
France also recorded their third consecutive clean sheet, highlighting the balance between their attacking firepower and defensive solidity.
