Athiradi Official Trailer Out Now, Starring Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas in lead roles

The trailer of Athiradi, directed by debutant Arun Anirudhan and starring Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas in lead roles, has been released and is already trending across social media.

Promising a full-on mass entertainer, the trailer hints at Tovino Thomas appearing in a negative role, a twist that has excited fans. Basil Joseph’s striking new look is another major highlight, while Vineeth Sreenivasan’s character remains a mystery, adding to the suspense.

The film marks the directorial debut of Arun Anirudhan, who was one of the writers behind Minnal Murali, directed by Basil Joseph. The movie is set for theatrical release on May 14.

One of the biggest attractions of the project is that Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas, and Vineeth Sreenivasan are sharing screen space together for the very first time.

Produced by Basil Joseph under Basil Joseph Entertainments along with Dr. Ananthu S under Dr. Ananthu Entertainments, the screenplay is jointly written by Paulson Skaria and Arun Anirudhan. Renowned filmmaker and cinematographer Sameer Thahir and Tovino Thomas also serve as co-producers.

Apart from the viral trailer, the songs and promotional videos released so far have also become hugely popular online. The film is reportedly receiving strong pre-booking numbers, further raising expectations.

The supporting cast includes Riya Shibu, Sarin Shihab, and Shaan Rahman.

The film has also grabbed attention as it reunites Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas after the blockbuster Minnal Murali. Fun-filled promotional interviews featuring the lead cast have also gone viral on social media.

In addition to Malayalam, the film will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages. The Gulf distribution rights have been acquired by Truth Global Films.
