Amrita TV Presents a Festive Fare For Christmas
To cater to the desires of its audiences across the world, Amrita TV has lined up a festive blend of endearing and entertaining programmes for Christmas. To usher in Christmas on a solemn note, Amrita TV is planning for a midnight Live telecast of Mass on 24th night from a prominent church in Trivandrum. On 25th December, Amrita TV presents a bouquet of programmes.
The Christmas day morning telecast starts from 6.30 am with an hour-long special programme on the ”Importance of Jesus” in Amrita TV’s programme, ”Udayamaritham” ; to be followed by an exclusive classical music programme ,”Sruthilayam”. Amrita TV has created a tele-drama,”Nalla Idayan”,wherein contestants of Amrita’s earlier reality show, ”Best Actor”, come together at 9 am.
Christmas is incomplete with carols, and the programme,”Jingle Bells” at 9.30 am, revives the merry times associated with the festivities of Christmas. A unique feature of Amrita TV’s X’mas fare is an interview at 1.30 pm with Parvathy Omanakuttan who was recently adjudged the first runner-up in the Miss World contest.
To tickle the palate of viewers,the cookery programme, ”My Christmas” at 2 pm, delves deep into the kitchen of an Anglo-Indian family to unravel delicacies of a different kind. Amrita TV has lined up two super hit movies for Christmas — ”Chitrakatha” at 10 am, starring Naren and Bhavana; and the popular feature film, ” Inspector Garud”, at 3.30 pm ,featuring hotshot actors Dileep and Kavya.
At 2.30 pm, the actor of yesteryears, Zareena Wahab, who is staging a comeback to Malayalam cinema this year,is in conversation with the local star, Navya Madhavan. The music reality show for children, ”Super Star Junior”, brings out a special edition of X’mas songs at 8 pm. And throughout the day, the mini-screen will be replete with memorable graphics and screeners to capture the X’mas spirit, and bring the Christmas cheer to millions of homes across the globe.
