Ammakilikkoodu Serial Story
Nandita is a widow whose husband Maj. Bhagyanath died 12 years ago at the border under mysterious circumstances. Pregnant with her youngest child (Alok) and staring at a bleak future, she takes up the challenge, empowers herself, starts a tailoring shop, works as an insurance agent, makes ends meet and ensures that her four children are given a good upbringing and good education as her husband dreamt off.
A family united in love and understanding, they are mostly the envy of people who are in awe of their happiness making Nandita feel proud. Today she is in her mid 40’s satisfied how life has turned out. Sharanya her eldest daughter has completed her LLB and is preparing for further studies, Twins Nirmal and Neerja are doing their engineering in Bangalore and youngest Alok is a sixth grader.
Sharanya gets a proposal from Nandan, her college senior. Nandan belongs to a rich business family and has been in love with Sharanya from his college days but could not muster enough courage to open his heart to her. His grandmother decides to play cupid and sets the ball in motion. As the talks of marriage happen an incident along with her grandfather question “before you settle, don’t you want to ensure your mother’s future” sets her thinking.
