Eighteen years ago, Asianet heralded the beginning of a new era that changed forever the viewing habits of Malayalis. Celebrating this in style is a two-week programme menu that promises to be an entertaining bouquet of interviews, films, special programmes and music-based shows. The fete begins on August 14          ( Atham  Day )  and will continue till August 25 ( Avittam Day ).

Moz & Cat

In addition to three premiere films “ Kadha Samvidhanam Kunchacko ( Starring : Sreenivasan , Meena ), Utharaswayamvaram ( Starring : Jayasurya, Roma) and Moz & Cat ( Starring : Dilip, Aswathy)” , a close-up of super star Suresh Gopi  “ Suresh Gopiyodoppam” is one of the attractions of Asianet’s Onam menu for viewers. Programmes on  Uthradam day also  includes, review of onam release films “ Onachithrangal 2010” , chat show with celebrity couples Kushboo & Sundar , and onam special “ Cinemala ‘.

Puthiya Mugam

Day starts with chat show with Sudha Chandran & family and Nammal Thammil fame R. Sreekandan Nair interviewing South india’s popular actor Prithwi Raj “ Prithwi Raj Under Fire” . ‘Puthiya Mugham ( Starring rithwi Raj, Bala, Priya Mani , Meera Nandan)’, “ Passenger ( Starring: Dilip, Sreenivasan, Mamtha )  “  and “Kerala varma Pazhasiraja ( Starring : Mammootty, sarath Kumar, Suman, Kaniha, Padmapriya)’ premiers on the telly. A musical programme with Meera Jasmine & top five contestants of Idea Star Singer Season 4, an interview with famous artist Kavya Madhavan, other attraction of the day is “ Onathinidayil Puttukachavadam” , humorous skit by leading comedy/mimicry aritistes of Malayalam cinema. Other highlight of the day is an interview with popular star Dilip.

Asianet Onam Special Programmes – Avittom day ( 24-08-2010)

Premiere “Dr. Patient (Starring: Mukesh , Jayasurya, radha Varma )” and ‘Loud Speaker ( Starring: Mammootty , Gracy Singh) ” are the films that will be screened on Avittom day.  Chat show with leading actress of Malayalam film industry  “ Nayikavasantham “, interview with famous actress Kavya Madhavan are the other attractions of the day. A comedy talk show with leading comedy artistes is all set to be telecasted.

Asianet Onam Special Programmes – Chathayam (25-08-2010)

A free wheeling chat show with actress / first runner up of Miss. World Parvathy Omanakuttan is the major attraction for the day. Premier telecast of movies  ‘Yugapurushan( Starring: Mammootty, Thalai Vasal Vijay, Kalabhavan Mani, Navya Nair) and “ Vairam ( Starring: Suresh Gopi, Pashupathi, Jayasurya, Dhanya Marry, Samvritha) , will be featuring along with interview of  Arch Bishop Mar Christom is expected the grab the viewers.

Viewers can also enjoys traditional onam feast on Atham ( 14th Aug.) to Chathayam ( 25th Aug.),  a journey thorough Malabar introduces viewers to many traditional and folk art forms and images of Onam. Interviews with other cine stars , Asianet film awards , comedy skits, onam songs and so on.
