I am a regular viewer of ISS. Working in Saudi Arabia. Season 4 my favourite contestant was Jobi, Vidya and Preeti. We were very happy when the result announced. But disappointed when we saw Srinaths face. He was not happy at all. All the staff working here noticed that change. Srinath u got what u deserved. Learn to be happy with what u got or in otherway what god given u. Best of luck for season 5 contestants. Some contestants are overactive. Be humble. There is one phrase in malayalam – thana nilathe neerodukayullu. So be humble, god fearing and sing well. Ranjini u are very good anchor. But try to improve ur malayalam. Judges best of luck. Do ur job with 100% sincerely. No partiality please. Abbas and his dancers wow no words. Super duper. Little disappointed about the selection of candidates. Why playback singers. Anybody had watched ‘Shabeer’ from Malappuram? It was worth listening to his songs. What a class singer he is! He’s bringing much feel and control in his voice which makes soother to listen. I don’t know about others view here but for sure he’s one of the contestent of ISS who gonna be a noted singer in the future music Industry (Take my word!!!!). We need more Hariharan and srinivas..!!!

viewers are fed up with singers bringing the same song in all the seasons.do research and find new and old songs to sing so that it wont become boring (like—kaatile pazhumulam,va va manoranjini,shooran padayude venmudiyeri… and so many….we can find thes repeating it in all seasons starting from season1 and about renjin.she is anchoring iss from first and she is doing it well.we all happen to see she talk in kannadi.she was frank and smart. but pls stop gossips ,and stop being jealous of her.
I feel that the Middle-aged paticipant KALPANA (Raghavendra) from Chennai is being accorded undue favouritism by all the Judges, more so by Usha Uthup, because Kalpana is a Pandi (Tamalian). The judges praised Kalpana sky-high for singing a Malayalam film song supposedly with proper diction! Even if it was so what was so great about it? Many of the Malayalee participants have always been singing Tamil songs with the perfect diction. So what is so special about the singing of Kalpana that the Judges are going ga-ga about it?

Ideas Star singer season 5. Somehow we feel that judgement is not proper and fair. While Sreesha and Iyana are good singers and sing well and with feel etc. but they are pointed out with many mistakes, and given very low marks, while many others who do not sing well, but appear to look a bit good are given good remarks and marks. MG Sreekumar is very partial.The judgement should be fair based on the singing.
Sharaths wits are very good and make all of us laugh and enjoy. The show is interesting because of him.

Renjani Haridas u r so great. We love ur anchoring and the Judges are very nice. Only one thing we don’t like is u selected the play back singers in season 5. that is not fair. however u please avoid them. please give opportunity to freshers and talents. This is our humble request.
In yesterdays elimination round, it was shocking to see that Shreesha was eliminated. She is a very good singer. From the beginning she was singing well, but on some reason or the other she was given bad remarks and less marks, and we thought that she would be eliminated Audience has also got some kind of judgement sense and we know who is singing better etc. The others who did not perform well could stay back. Just in one song in lifeline, it cannot be decided who is singing well. Average performance should be seen. It is all fake.
Sometimes judgement is based on looks also.
The programe [ STAR SINGER SESON 5]is AI, No doubt of it. Like Asianet News & Kannadi, the performance is good, it is reaching to natinal standard.It helps viewers relaxation, encouragement to new youngers in arts. Absence of Chithra is not tolerable, Sarth and M G is doing good Job, Deedi is also an assest [very talented / intelligent smart lady. You Asianet is intelligent, waiting to see more advancement in future.
Why not guest artist from Bollywood..Kathreena, Aishwarya,Latha Magashkar..Why not..Hindi songs round..?..Is it producers right only or Asianet can do something.

we are very sad when Sreesha eliminated.Sreesha is very good singer and sung very well but Judges judgment injucted audiance wrongly so that SMS became low.MG is judgment is partial and all judges appriciating Kalpna alot.Our Malayali singers are singing Hindi.Thamil song in each round.They are not born in Thamil Nadu and other states. they can sing other language song.Why Judges not appricating them?.

I am from melbourne and I watch iss regularly, it is one of my favourite shows. I was very happy that Joby won, he was one of my favourite contestants. Although I was not quite happy when Sreenath found out that he didnt win he didnt seem to happy and he wasnt happy for Joby John. I like all of the contestants for season 5, its a better choice that last year. Good Luck

Lot of people waiting for him. Please consider my request as early as possible.
I am very upset by the marks awarded to Shabeer. First, he sings “Marakudayaal” with ghazal style which spoiled its folk mood. Then he sings Rajasthani folk instead of Dappaankoothu. For both he was awarded very good marks.Very unfair. Also, he does n’t move at all, but keeps getting 9 for performance. It is unjust to the other participants who lose their breath performing.

I am RC Nair from calicut, regular viewer of iss. Recently i observed that Mr Sarat is improved in his comments, where as MG who cannot sing four lines without book. His criticism is beyond tolerance, contemning contestant even they sing well. Show their mistakes in amicable way, if they made many mistakes, and you think they are not fit to keep, eliminate them, donot abuse them badly as MG do now a days. As far as Usha utup is concerned she is a best pop singer, not fit for a judge like ur program. She cannot speak a single language properly. donot know malayalam, no knowledge in classical music, cannot sing a classical song either, please avoid her if possible. As for celebrity guest is concerned some come and give good marks, the contestant who lucky to come under their judgment get good marks. Actually they should judge the contestant as an ordinary viewer judge the prsentation,costume etc,do not find the mistakes in song,finding mistake is done by other judges, please instruct them before taking the chair. Ranjini Haridas is good in her job, she is impartial and very jovial to all contestant, keep it up.

The Idea Star Singer season-2,3 & 4 you brought the true rocking stars what a performers they were..but season-5 i think people are juss watching to listen the comedy comments from Mr.Sharath & Mr.M.G. Sreekumar. As you pretend they are the best singers i think you got it wrong. The way you introduced them to us was perfect we had expectations were high from all but when they started singing in competition it made us sad & u need to think on it, its stage 5 now & this contestants don’t even move a step looks like thy put a glu under there shoes..whn you take an audition in season 6 i prefer make them dance also not juss stand like statue or show shyness..Idea Star Singer has a nice viewership if u keep selecting such students then sure the rating levels will come down sooner…kindly rectify these things & keep it on high note always…Thanks
this is to knows the judging panel that- there are two contests in this season are recently participated in a musical reality show in Amrita channel and came up to final stage. Like this experienced people coming in this show must be restricted.

ISS was a reality show maintaining high standard. Iwonder what has happened to it now.Have you lost minimum ethics to be maintained while conducting a show???? What stupidity is Kalpana doing participating as a contestant in this show. I have seen her conducting programms in the Tamil channels, so authoritively talking about different Ragas. She would be the right person to sit in the judging panel rather that mocking herself being a contestant? Also request Mr. M G sreekumar to control his comments. Judges are supposed to jugdge the contestants for the performance they put up and not to hurt the personality of the contestants by saying sarcastic comments. PLS don’t make the whole Malayalees to put their head down by telecasting these sarcastic comments

I agree with Divya and Deepthi’s comments.. Mridula is the super. Judges are favouring Kalpana and Lakshmi Benson.. Lakshmi is the relative of a music director and Kalpana used to sing with sarath for programs. This lakhsmi never look at public and always closing her eyes and shaky sound.. but judges will never say any comments against her singing drabacks or her bad body language and attitude.. Ranjini is crossing the limits with her funny laugh and over acting.. feeling pity on her…. madhu Dubai

I saw the episode of Novemeber 16, 2010. In that our greatest singer, K S Chithra the so called greatest singer when after seeing the performance of the Pandi (Kalpana) said that she has not written any comments on the paper. What a bullshit remark is that, obviously a playback singer cum contestant who sang over 100 songs in movie should not make any mistake and above all she did not have a decency in saying a single word or compliments for Renjith Raj who danced with her or the dancers whereas she blessed Sarath of becoming a good star in the future when he danced with Yethu Krishna. Is this what judges do, not only her, the same with Sarath and MG. One thing was clear that (Kalpana) was the center of attraction and it must be a rule of Asianet to praise her and ignore the dancers. Whether it is MG or Sarath, Chithra all are of the same category. The guys MG and Sarath do it outwardly, Whereas The Chitra will make a smile and cutthroat a person.
The idea star singer reality show is going to be boring since the judgement and the one who is coming for giving marks is inaccurate.Partiality is everywhere and some of them are appraising with nice words without any reason.Please note that viewers are the King.Dont forget. Without viewers, MG, and Sarath will see only the whole show. Don’t bluff the right people.I can only congratulate Miss.Ranjini.Doing great job and there is no any partiality at all. She is the real malayalee lady.Keep it up Ranjini.Dont forget the peoples those who are the organsors of this programme that, give importance to the right people, not to simpathy or any other kind of criteria.Good Luck…
I have seen the episode on November 24th. But it was disappointing. Why the judges are encouraging Kalpana an outsider? If anyone from kerala participate in a Tamil channel will they encourage them? Not at all. This is a shame to all keralites. Kalpana is a professional singer. She sould not articipate in these programmes. mridula is a good singer. But judges are trying to put her down.
It is boring to seee Ranjini’s face. She is worst. I did not expect like these comments from Chithra. Now all will lose the respect towards her. Other two judges already proved that they are waste. Please remove Kalpana from this programme and continue only for this year. Please Please don’t plan season 6
ISS was a REALITY show has now changed to PARTIALITY show.U r giving unfavouring support to Kalpana. The ‘Harimurali’ song which she sang vas utter nonsense and our GREAT JUDGES gave her 79 marks..why?? Even in the episode of 24/11/2010 when the question of gold coin was asked Ranjini answered the second part’ATTAHAASAM’ and even she told that she had answered that part, stil the judges gave her the gold coin. Stop doing such nonsenses and don’t give any partiality to any participants.

The singers are like ocean, their depth of knowledge in song is as sea, the same way the idea star singer judges can be termed as follows,
Sharat = Bay of Bengal
MG Sreekumar = Arabian Sea
KS Chitra = Indian Ocean
Oceans provide life support for living things, but nowadays these oceans are polluted by chemical toxins, waste materials, and as a result these have become infected and are killing organisms, like these JUDGES are totally polluted by someone above them, that they are helpless people, in short nothing but pawns. They have lost judgement in thought, clarity, and above all these judges are showing Bias. My sincere request is to provide good singers the right judgment without getting polluted ur mind from external sources, if so then u people are spoiling lot of good talents skill of good singers
