Story :Finally, a watchable treat from Mohanlal, ‘College Kumaran’ is about Kumaran (Mohanlal) A.K.A Capt Sreekumar who was once an ex army man and has now come to take care of the college canteen in the Mahatma college due to the fire accident that took away the lives of his father and sister. From then on Kumaran becomes Kumarettan , the one and all for everyone in the college and also the striking force for anything useful to the students so much so that even the college principal Narendranath (Janardhanan) and manager Shivaraman Nair (Nedumudi Venu) come to Kumaran when there is any trouble in the campus. However, there are trouble elements too in the form of Sethunathan , the educational minister who was once the chairman of the college and now wants it back and similarly Madhavi (Vimala Raman) who is the English professor in the college and who thinks Kumaran is actually spoiling the students and making them useless with his support and thoughts. Sethunathan hatches an evil plot and traps Kumaran in a big mess, what is the plot? What happens to Kumaran? How does justice happen in the end? All this forms the rest of the story.
