About Gandharvasangeetham : Started as a joint venture of swaralaya- one of the foremost cultural organizations of India and Kairali TV in the year 2000, Gandharvasangeetham is an everlasting search for grooming new talents in music. We provide the young talents a Diaz to make their presence felt among masses. We are in search of some strong hands which can hold the torch high and can take it to the coming generations. As its name indicates, Gandharvasangeetham is a tribute to Dr. K. J. Jesudas, one of the greatest servers of Indian music. His inspiration has guided us to groom such a great vision and his valuable suggestions are always helping us to improve every year. We are in a holy mission of finding gandharvas and nightingales of tomorrow so that the land of Swathi Tirunal will never be devoid of quality musicians.

Gandharvasangeetham is now entering to its sixth consecutive year; a year which will witness more changes from the previous years. In this year also we will honor four new talents from a bunch of 100 odd contestants. In the past five years, we have contributed 20 new talents to Malayalam, two each for junior and senior level every year. We are proud to be part of a musical event which had brought up radical changes in musical reality shows in Malayalam. Gandharvasangeetham is the first of its kind to reach masses. The participation of common men is the main attraction of our previous year shows. This year also initial rounds are being held at rural areas. This has enabled us to locate unknown talents who may not even get a chance to perform on a big stage.
